Something I like to call “painter’s pallet”. I think this is going to be my end of summer tradition.
1. 2 coats of white polish
2. Dab blue polish using q-tip
3. Then yellow
4. Then pink
5. Seal with clear polish
I used blue first bc it was the only one that wasn’t a neon polish. Try to avoid using too much of each color bc it’ll muddy up the polish.

It’s that time of the week again!!! #manicuremonday! This week (for Amethyst Week 4) I’m wearing @julepmaven’s Charlotte (Boho Glam). I have mixed feeling about this color but I loved the fact I only used ONE coat. Charlotte is one of the colors from #Oprah’s Favorite Things. The other day my BFF Jill Jess sent me a link to Refinery29’s 8 Free Indulges, 1 Holiday Pop-Up. She knew I’ve been wanting to get a psychic reading / tarot reading for the longest (I promise there’s a nail reference coming up) and saw there was a free reading listed. Needless to say, we went. We got to Refinery29 and immediately saw the card table. There was an over 1 hour wait, so we decided to look around. I must have a nail polish radar because the very next thing I saw was a nail polish station.
There was no1 in the seat (the person was late) so I started talking with the manicurist, Rachel. I showed her my manicure and she loved the glitter. We then decided to try crackle over the glitter. We both thought it was different and interested in seeing how it would turn out. It didn’t. It did not work at all. Saddened and determined to find something that worked, we tried a different brand and color. Shut down! We quickly realized crackle and glitter DON’T MIX!
Rachel was nice enough to add a different color glitter to my accent nails and threw a strip of black polish over the tips. It was cute and gave me yet ANOTHER idea! I might have to start writing them down lol.

This week I’m all about the glitter. I like to wear glitter polishes with a matching base color. It instantly glams up the manicure. The teal base color I used is Sinful Colors – Rise and Shine. My new sparkly best friend is Wet & Wild’s Spoiled – Use Protection.
Both are $1.99ea.

This is what I like to call my Sweetheart/Minnie Mouse mani because of the colors. This mani screams Minnie without the polka dots. It’s a little more calmed down than my other manis but I love it.
This week’s #manicure is the imperfect half moon #mani. At first I didn’t care for it, but after I cleaned it up as much as I could, I fell in love.
All of the posts on the half moon that I’ve seen used reinforcements. I used a design brush. I’m impatient when it comes to polish so I didn’t wait long for the polish to dry before I used the the brush. With the reinforcements I would have had to wait for the polish to dry completely before using the blue.
I used yellow and blue because I think the use of primary colors makes the manicure pop. I’m sure after doing it a few times in the future, it’ll look prettier. #beauty #nailpolish
