Update

I guess I should let you guys know that my new job has totally rained on my polish parade. I walked in on the first day with aqua blue polish and they told me I had to take it off the next day AND that i couldn’t have any polish on at all. Needless to say I was very depressed sad. I went polishless for a week and my nails lost all health (clear exaggeration). They broke and just looked horrible. And with me being the polish rebel I am, I decided that bare nail life was not for me so I’ve been wearing a very light pink/neutral color ever since. I’m not happy because I have to stop my birthstone polish “challenge” and wear these boring colors lol. I’m going to find a way at some point to have fun with thifs but for now, this is what I’m dealing with.

Amethyst Week 4

It’s that time of the week again!!! #manicuremonday! This week (for Amethyst Week 4) I’m wearing @julepmaven’s Charlotte (Boho Glam). I have mixed feeling about this color but I loved the fact I only used ONE coat. Charlotte is one of the colors from #Oprah’s Favorite Things. Give Coconut Oil a Try

When the new year started, I clipped my #nails because I wanted to start off with a clean slate. Now a month later and they’re back to where they were when I clipped them. All thanks to my handy dandy coco oil ($6 Trader Joe’s). As most of you all know I use coco oil for my hair (I also mix it in my moisturizer with some aloe vera when I wear my hair up) but I usually use coco oil for my nails once a week. I decided to try and massage it into my hands & nails every day. I love it and it works! I now use it for almost everything (hair, nails, skin, I tried it for teeth whitening, etc.)

It’s officially Aquarius season! But here’s my last Garnet post of the month. I found this week’s color at Duane Reade last week in sale.
